BASW Diaspora SIG Conference 2025 – Save the Date!

The University of Wolverhampton is proud to host this year’s BASW Diaspora Special Interest Group (SIG) Conference on Thursday, 10th July 2025.

Held on Thursday, 10th July 2025, This year’s theme is “Resilient Diaspora Social Workers: Striving and Thriving in a Challenging Environment”

The British Association of Social Workers’ Diaspora SIG advocates for overseas-qualified social workers in the UK. The group promotes:

  • Representation and support for diaspora voices

  • Best practices in recruitment and retention

  • Strong peer networks and monthly themed discussions
