About the Event
This training is open to social work practitioners across the West Midlands Social Work Teaching Partnership. Please see below for our Partner organisations.
This training hopes to give learners more confidence in supporting students and social workers with difficult conversations around mental health. It is aimed at practice educators and supervisors, or anyone interested in taking on these roles in the future.Â
Areas covered:
- An overview of social graces and the Mandela model showing you how to apply them to case scenarios.
- How to approach someone in supervision that you are supporting either as a student or ASYE first year of practice.
- Ideas of how to generate a safe place for support during supervision.
- Exploring mental health recovery, wellness recovery, and action planning.
- Learning how to apply a crisis plan.
