Workshop overview:
This online interactive workshop is a taster for the full ‘powerful’ and ‘hard-hitting’ session devised by young people that can be booked by practitioners for their groups, institutions, and organisations. The taster will provide an overview of the Honour in a Crime? project, definition of Honour-Based Abuse (HBA), Forced Marriage, and HBA statistics. Practitioners will gain an understanding of the themes in HBA including the mindset of a perpetrator and will be signposted to useful services, helpline numbers, and a variety of resources practitioners can utilise. Practitioners will view film clips from the film "Daddy’s little… izzat” and undertake interactive drama activities exploring Forced Marriage and the impact on the victim.
