About the Event

Celebrating the diversity of the Practice Educator role, equipping practice educators to support every student’s journey


Inviting all Practice Educators to enjoy a day of inspiring presentations and interactive workshops. A chance to network, maintain currency and share ideas with other Practice Educators from across the region in a wonderful conference venue with a delicious 3 course hot/cold buffet lunch. 


Presentations include:

Navigating problems on placement - Dr Deborah Hadwin, University of Birmingham.

Supporting Black and Global Majority students - Le’Siran Edwards, Social Work Coaching Hub.


Workshops include:

Supporting International students 

Working with students who have their own lived experience of trauma 

Further workshops tbc...


Applications are open to partner organisations and will close on Friday the 13th March 2026. Places will be allocated equitably across partner organisations and confirmed by Friday the 27th March 2026.


The venue is 10-15 mins walk from New St, Snow Hill and Moor Street train stations 

 

Car Parking is available but must be booked on-line before attending (£9:50 per day). Details to be sent when places are confirmed. Please note the venue is within the Clean Air Zone.
