CPD Framework

The West Midlands Social Work Teaching Partnership is pleased to release its first Continuing Professional Development (CPD) framework. Created in collaboration with all Partnership organisations, it highlights the region’s commitment to improving social work practice through continual professional development.

The framework aims to support social workers in understanding how CPD activity fits in with practice at each career stage and to identify CPD opportunities available to them in the region. It also helps with planning and development of post-qualifying HEI programmes and 'in house' Local Authority/Trust training.

The Partnership also continues to support CPD with its post-qualifying HEI course brochure, by holding regular masterclasses and learning events, and through funding the development of three new post-qualifying courses, details of which will be shared in due course.

The Partnership is keen for your views on the Framework as it looks to revise and update this in the future. Feedback, recommendations, amendments should be sent to WestMidlandsTeachingPartnership@coventry.gov.uk
